The Biography : The Early Bit My birthday is April 1st which explains many things about me!! Spending a blissful childhood in the North East of England I managed to ignore mostof my formal education while enriching my life through self exploration. Observing nature as a child has its drawbacks of course, not least muddy trousers and a stickleback menagerie.

Later On : Leaving school at 16 the World beckoned, so I went to work on a farm in <placew:ston>North Northumberland. But that was much too much like hard work, so naturally I packed that in and crashed through screen printing, public libraries, conservation, a BSc in something environmental (a not very mature student), and then, 13 years ago, following the graduation ball, I drove to Bristol to pretending to work very hard in wildlife TV in Bristol!!

So how do I paint? Well to be honest, fast and furious describes it. Each painting often finished in a matter of minutes. I love using readily available non-art tools, such as sponges, spatulas and rollers. The finished painting is often different to the planned concept, and that is what makes me tick, unpredictability of the paint.
